The Royal Hotel in the heart of Nundah Village in Brisbane’s north is undergoing a $1.1 million refurbishment and renovation.
Located at 1259 Sandgate Road in Nundah the development will include a new entertainment space on the first floor which can accommodate up to 200 people and will host live entertainment, including bands and comedians, as well as parties, events and gatherings.
The existing bistro and terrace will have a facelift with checkerboard floors, timber and landscaping planter boxes, seating up to 120 customers.
The front bar and front al fresco areas will also be upgraded to include a sports bar for up to 80 people and new television screens.
The heritage character of the hotel will be retained during the renovation, which will provide a more modern and comfortable space for residents.
Parts of the The Royal will be closed during the renovation, with the bistro expected to reopen in mid-May and the sports bar and gaming room to reopen in mid-June.
