A development application has been lodged to redevelop and extend Lourdes Hill College in Brisbane’s east.
The school, at 86 Hawthorne Road in Hawthorne, is seeking to undertake the redevelopment across three stages, with several existing buildings set to be demolished – either in part or whole – and rebuilt and extended.
The first stage will see new four-storey building constructed in place of the current G Block to provide learning areas and a home economics space, with other buildings partly demolished, while the second stage will see an extension of the Good Samaritan Centre. The third stage will see an extension and refurbishment of the J Block to improve teaching spaces and enable the introduction of Year 5 and 6 classes.
The development is part of the school’s masterplan and is being undertaken to improve the school and make it safer, more liveable and accessible.
