A proposal has been put forward to refurbish the Bellbowrie Shopping Plaza, while elevating the car park, to improve the customer experience and amenity and provide direct access from the retail centre to the car park.
If the development is approved, the renovation of the property at 37 Birkin Road in Bellbowrie would see its internal size reduced by 189 sq m.
The shopping centre site was mooted to possibly be replaced with a new high school, but if the refurbishments go ahead it’s unlikely that would happen.
The centre has had only a few retail tenants occupying it since a new shopping centre opened down the road last year at Moggill called Moggill Village.
