A two-storey childcare centre is proposed for 215 Whites Road in Lota, a coastal suburb in Brisbane’s east.
A development application has been lodged for a house on the 1,930sq m site to be demolished and a childcare centre built it its place, catering to 109 children.
The centre would have 871sq m of gross floor area with six activity rooms, 774sq m of play area with three outdoor play areas and significant landscaping of 433.75sq m, equating to 22.4% of the site.
It would also have 22 car parks and would operate from 6am to 7pm.
If it goes ahead this would provide greater amenity in the area, including first home buyers with young families.
