A three-tower mixed-use development is proposed for South Brisbane, and if it goes ahead the project would deliver the city’s first 50-storey building – standing at 207 metres – outside the CBD.
The development at 164 Melbourne Street would have 678 apartments, 216 hotel rooms, 3,650m² of public open space, retail and dining precincts, a gym and rooftop areas.
The three towers would have 24, 36 and 50 storeys, with the latter equalling Aurora in the CBD.
It is expected the seven stage development would become a centrepiece of South Brisbane, if it goes ahead.
