Brisbane Buyers Agent Home Buyer Insights – What’s happening in Richlands – New local shopping centre proposed

Share with a friend:

As a top Brisbane buyers agent, we’ve always got our finger on the pulse of the Brisbane property market. Check out what’s happening in Richlands.

A development application has been lodged for a new local shopping centre at Richlands, in Brisbane’s southwest.

The proposal for the development, to be located at 159 and 177 Progress Road, is for a Coles Supermarket and up to 18 specialty stores across retail, health and food and beverage tenancies. It would also have 265 car spaces.

The shopping centre would see two single-storey buildings constructed on the 31,261sq m site, with a total gross floor area of 6,062sq m.

A single dwelling and vegetation currently on the site would be removed to make way for the development.

The food and drink outlets and health care services and office would operate from 7am to 10pm, while the shop would operate from 7am to 9pm, seven days a week.

If approved, this development would create greater amenity for a growing part of Brisbane, servicing residents in the surrounding areas.
