A Guzman Y Gomez restaurant could open in Coorparoo, in Brisbane’s inner east.
A development application has been lodged for the popular Mexican food chain to open at a property at 5, 7 & 9 Shakespeare Street in the suburb.
A new single-level building would be constructed for the new 200sq m restaurant, which would have a drive through, alfresco dining and car parking.
A commercial character building located on the site, at the corner of Pembroke Road and Shakespeare Street, would be retained, while an existing dwelling on the site would be removed to facilitate the development.
If it goes ahead, this Guzman Y Gomez outlet, which would operate 24/7, would activate an underutilized site and provide greater amenity to residents and visitors.
