A $15 million renovation of the Carina Leagues Club, at 1390 Creek Rd in Carina, in Brisbane’s east, is underway.
The aim of the renovation is to build a state-of-the-art food and beverage, gaming, and entertainment space for the benefit of the local community.
The renovations will be carried out in several stages. Stage one, which is now underway, will include the addition of a new 200-person function centre, a new Arties luxury Island bar, and a refreshed kitchen and Italian dome pizza oven.
The existing Hive Cafe will also be expanded with a new deck so it can seat over 150 people at any one time.
Similarly, the existing kids’ area Playland will receive a facelift, which will include the addition of three kids’ party rooms and a 40% size increase.
The project will also include an upgrade of the workplace environment for employees, with upgraded staff rooms, offices and boardrooms.
Carina Leagues Club will remain fully operational during the renovations.
Stage one is expected to be completed by mid-September and all works by Christmas this year, with minimal disruption to club operations. The next renovations stages will kick off in 2025.
