Work has started on a $50 million Australia Post Parcel Centre at Brisbane Airport.
The Brisbane North Parcel Facility, part of Brisbane Airport’s industrial park, will be Australia Post’s second largest site in Queensland.
It will include a custom-built 31,800sqm warehouse alongside 2,000sqm of commercial office space and 350 car spaces, being the equivalent of more than three rugby league fields and reportedly the biggest industrial project ever constructed at Brisbane Airport.
The facility will have direct airside access from the 100-hectare Airport Industrial Park and will be able to process up to 176,000 parcels a day, which will support the South East Queensland’s growing population.
The facility will open in mid 2025.
