Brisbane Girls Grammar School in Spring Hill is set to open a campus for grades 5 and 6 for the first time after receiving council approval for a Junior Educational Building.
The six-storey building at 89-95 Gregory Terrace is be located opposite the school’s main campus in Brisbane’s inner city.
Described as a vertical college, the new junior campus will see an existing building owned by the school refurbished and repurposed to include classrooms, a library, specialty music, art and science spaces, a reception, health centre, tuckshop, lunch space and assembly area.
It will accommodate 216 students and 18 staff.
The school plans to have Years 5 and 6 operating by 2026.
