A development application has been lodged for a childcare centre in a growing area south of Brisbane.
The 998sq m single-storey childcare centre at 499 Waterford Road in Ellen Grove would cater for 120 children, and operate from 6.30am to 6.30pm.
It would feature three outdoor play areas totalling 1,046sqm and 37 car parks.
Situated in a residential area, an existing house on the site would be removed to facilitate the development, if it is given the go ahead.
Being in a growing area, this childcare centre would provide a much-needed service to local young families, of which there are many.
