The Oxley Bunnings, in Brisbane’s southwest, will be rebuilt after it was flooded in February this year and closed ever since.
The new warehouse at 32 Blunder Road is expected to reopen in 2024 after being rebuilt with a raised bigger building that will have two levels of shop space and 462 car parks underneath, if a development application is approved.
Flood doors will protect the entrances and essential services will be raised.
If the development is approved it will be welcomed by the local community, as the amenity is valued in the area.
