A Guzman Y Gomez restaurant with drive through could open at Westfield Garden City Shopping Centre at Upper Mount Gravatt if a development application for three restaurants on a site at 2049 Logan Road is approved.

Scentre Limited has made an application for a material change of use for the centre, which would involve an extension of the shopping centre with the addition of three standalone food and drink outlets totalling 671sq m in the northeast carpark field that would be delivered in two stages.

Earlier this month we reported that a Slim’s Quality Burger restaurant of 238sq m was proposed for the same site as the 210 sq m Guzman Y Gomez, with both being part of the first stage of the proposed extension.

A third building of 238sq m is proposed to be constructed in the second stage, which will house a third restaurant.
