A proposal has been lodged for a Coles Local supermarket and Liquorland to replace an existing IGA supermarket and other retail stores at the Milton Village shopping centre.
The development would see the shopping centre at 36 Baroona Road upgraded and extended to a maximum of three storeys from the current two.
Apart from the 1,671sq m supermarket, the 4,571sq m development would include specialty shops, food and drink tenancies, office and medical space, and sport and recreation. The application provides for 78 basement car parks and 43 open air car parks.
If it goes ahead the supermarket could be the third Coles Local – which is a smaller version of the major supermarket – in Brisbane, with one already being built in Indooroopilly and one proposed for Bardon.
