A development application has been lodged for a major shopping centre at Joyner, north of Brisbane in Moreton Bay.

If it goes ahead, the project would be built on a 20,470sq m site at 29 Youngs Crossing Road.

To be called Joyner Central, the shopping centre would have more than 6000sq m of gross floor area and could have a national line supermarket, medical centre and retail including food and beverage outlets. It will also have 275 car spaces.

The proposed development would provide greater amenity in what is a significant growth area, although it is just four minutes down the road from another retail centre, Warner Marketplace.
