A childcare centre is planned for Warner, north of Brisbane, to cater for residential growth in the area.
The proposed single-storey childcare centre would have 888.5sq m of gross floor area with five separate outdoor play areas and eight activity rooms, as well as 49 car parking spaces, catering for 142 children.
The development at 54 Warner Road will only go ahead if a proposal to vary the current zoning is approved.
The proposal involves a subdivision whereby the childcare centre would be situated on a 4,913sq m lot, while a neighbouring 600sq m lot is expected to be developed in the future, with a commercial, retail or residential use.
