Brisbane Buyers Agent Insights – What’s happening in Holland Park West – Proposed Montessori Childcare Centre for the suburb

As a top Brisbane buyers agent, we’ve always got our finger on the pulse of the Brisbane property market. Check out what’s happening in Holland Park West.

A two-storey Montessori Childcare Centre is proposed for Holland Park West.

A development application submitted for the project on a 1,145sq m site at 20 Monaco Street.

The proposal provides for a centre catering for 78 children, with a gross floor area of 641sq m, 127sq m of outdoor play space and 139.1sq m of deep planting. It will have two outdoor play areas, two activity rooms and a large Montessori play room, as well as 16 car spaces.

The development would require the demolition of an existing house on site, with the new centre to be built on the cleared site.

This childcare centre would provide good amenity in Holland Park West, as long as the design suits the area. At the moment the design is higher than nearby residential houses, but reportedly fits in with what is intended for the neighbourhood in terms of planning outcomes.
