An $11 million park and community facility is planned for the Archerfield Parklands on an 8.65-hectare development site at Bowhill Road in Durack, at the old Inala Wastewater Treatment Plant.
A development application has been lodged for the project, which would include water and adventure playgrounds, picnic areas, an outdoor theatre, and function rooms.
The site is part of the 150ha Archerfield Wetlands precinct, which is part of the $100 million Oxley Creek Transformation project.
If the development of the park goes ahead, completion is expected by 2026. It would provide great new amenities for families, and particularly first home buyers, in the area and surrounds.
