As a top Brisbane buyers agent, we’ve always got our finger on the pulse of the Brisbane property market. Check out what’s happening in Aspley.

Aspley State High School on Brisbane’s northside will undergo a $16 million makeover, with the addition of two new buildings and the installation of air-conditioning in 84 spaces.

A new $12 million multipurpose sports hall will be built including two sports courts, two general learning areas, a gym, canteen, staff office, storage rooms and a kinesiology lab.

A $3.8 million music centre will also be constructed – replacing the current 35-year-old building – including visual arts, music, drama and dance classrooms as well as practice rooms and a staff office.

Work has started on the two new buildings, which are expected to be finished by March 2021.

The improved facilities at the school, described by politicians as ‘first class’, are likely to draw in more families and first home buyers, as it is designed to transform the school and its amenity.
