A new childcare centre is proposed for Yeronga to meet demand in the area.

A development application has been lodged for a new two-storey childcare centre to be built on a 1269sq m property at 96 School Road.

The new building would provide gross floor area of 949.7sq m and would incorporate an existing house on the site which is in keeping with the streetscape.

The childcare centre will accommodate 75 children and include two large outdoor play areas and basement car parking with 15 car spaces.

If the development is approved it will be beneficial for families moving to or living in Yeronga, which is close to schools and transport, and plenty of other amenity.
