Brisbane Buyers Agent Insights – Whats happening in Kangaroo Point – First ever supermarket planned for the suburb

Share with a friend:

As a top Brisbane buyers agent, we’ve always got our finger on the pulse of the Brisbane property market. Check out what’s happening in Kangaroo Point.

A Woolworths supermarket is planned for Kangaroo Point in Brisbane’s inner east following the recent sale of a vacant 3048sq m site across multiple titles at 25 Ferry Street.

The 1742sq m supermarket will be a first for the suburb, set on a small peninsula, but highly populated with many apartment buildings.

The new amenity – which is much needed in the suburb, which currently has very little – will be part of a bigger mixed-use development proposed for the site by developer Fabcot, with a development application having been lodged.

The wider development will consist of a tower with 62 residential apartments and other retail amenity including food and drink specialty outlets, as well a mezzanine level for office or storage space. The residential tower will have amenities and recreation space for residents including an outdoor gymnasium, pool, lounge, deck and BBQ areas.
